About me

Emmanuel Parekkattu was born as the seventh child of Chandy Joseph and Annakutty Parekkattu on 27 November 1981 at Poovarany in the diocese of Palai in Kerala, India. He studied at Government UP School Poovarany and at St. Joseph's High School  Vilakkumadam Poovarany. After his minor seminary formation at Good Shepherd Seminary Palai,  he continued his philosophical studies at the Pontifical Institute of Theology and Philosphy Alwaye in Kerala. After his regency in Sea View Estate Parathanam and Pala Communications, he was send to Rome for Theological studies. He holds BTh from the Pontifical University of Holy Cross, Rome. He was ordained to the priesthood for the diocese of Palai on 3 January 2008.

വലിയ ശനിയാഴ്ച ദുഃഖവെള്ളിക്കും ഈസ്റ്റർ ഞായറാഴ്ചയ്ക്കും ഇടയിൽ ഞെരുക്കപ്പെട്ടതായി തോന്നുന്നു. എന്നിട്ടും ഈ ദിവസം കാത്തിരിപ്പിന്റെ, വലിയ നിശബ്ദതയുടെ , വലിയ കുതിപ്പിന് മുമ്പ് അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു ശ്വാസംമുട്ടലിന്റെ ദിവസമാണ്. എല്ലാം പൂർത്തിയായി എന്ന് തോന്നിപ്പിക്കുന്നെങ്കിലും ഒന്നും അവസാനിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. എന്നാൽ ഈ കാര്യങ്ങൾ അതുവരെ അറിയാമായിരുന്നവർ ആരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. മഗ്ദലമറിയവും മറ്റേ മറിയവും പുലർച്ചെ കല്ലറയിലേക്ക് പോകുന്നത് അവരെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്ന ആശ്ചര്യസംഭവം എന്താണെന്നു ഒരു ആശയവും ഇല്ലാതെയാണ്. നഷ്ടബോധവും ശൂന്യതയും മാത്രമല്ല അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ മഥിക്കുന്നത്, മറിച്ചു, തകർന്ന ഓരോ ഹൃദയത്തിലും ഈശോ തെളിച്ച ഒരു പ്രത്യാശയുടെ തിരിനാളം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അത് അണഞ്ഞുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു. അവരുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥന ഒരുപക്ഷേ ഒരു ലുത്തീനിയയിലെ അപേക്ഷപോലെ പോലെ ഹ്രസ്വമായിത്തീർന്നിരുന്നു: "ആരാണ് നമുക്കുവേണ്ടി കല്ലുരുട്ടിമാറ്റുക?". 'നമ്മളെക്കൊണ്ടിതെങ്ങനെ സാധിക്കും?' എന്ന നിരാശയോടെ ലോകം മുഴുവനും ഈ ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ ജാതി മത ഭേദമെന്യേ മഗ്ദലമറിയത്തെപ്പോലെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയിലാണ്. അവർ ആ ശവകുടീരത്തിന് മുന്നിൽ എത്തുമ്പോൾ
